The Maymorn soap story
Maymorn Soap is a home based cottage industry that has been producing soap since 2005. Initially the soap was made for personal use because I wanted a better quality, affordable hand-made soap that was as good for the outside of my body as the produce (food) I put into my body. After more and more family and friends started asking for this good basic soap, a decision was taken to put a reasonable price on each bar and see if people were willing to pay for it. The price has been kept at a level that allows affordability for everyone.
The soap
Oscar
I looked at the ingredients and the first initials of each, knew I was no good at anagrams so my husband came up with OSCAR - that’s olive oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil, and rice bran oil. A wonderful cleansing soap with properties that sooth the skin.
Olive
100% olive oil goes into this one, very easy to come up with that name! This is the best cleansing soap.
Olive Plus
Just a pure honest soap, olive and coconut oil. No gimmicks to name this one. This is Olive, but with more bubbles.
Subtle
Especially formulated for sensitive skin using ingredients like wheat germ and olive oil.
Grouch
Especially formulated for mature skin with avocado oil, shea and cocoa butter.

Restores the natural balance of your hair.
Conditioner
Mild and detangling keeping your hair soft and shiny.
Flea-Dom
This soap is all natural and will not burn or mark the skin. It will wash the fur or wool without stripping the natural oils. Flea-Dom has Tea-tree and Neem oils which get rid of fleas and ticks as well as Olive and Coconut oils to care for the skin.

Shampoo Bars
Castor Oil
Has omega-6 fatty acids which goes to the root of the hair and improves circulation. The antifungal and antibacterial properties of castor oil can help to remove dandruff and cure scalp infections.
Sweet Almond Oil
Keeps the skin, hair and scalp soft and hydrated. The moisturizing effects of almond oil may be especially helpful for people who have dry or sensitive skin. Almond oil is packed with vitamin E, which may help protect the skin from sun damage and premature aging.
Jojoba Oil
Is capable of moisturizing hair and its follicles without leaving any residue. It can help hair cells to reproduce themselves at a rapid pace therefore good for hair growth, dryness of the scalp and reducing dandruff.
Conditioner Bars
Cocoa Butter
Does wonders for the skin and also for your hair. Keeps your hair healthy and soft. Much like coconut oil, cocoa butter has healing and softening properties that will make your hair healthy and shiny.
Conditioner Pallets
Very mild, yet effective ingredient known for its detangling and hair thickening properties that directly deposits onto the hair follicles to smooth the cuticles and is highly regarded for its conditioning abilities. Known to soften your skin and hair and reduce the loss of moisture while providing a silky smooth, moisturising texture.
Your scalp needs to adjust to natural shampoo bars, they work differently from bottle shampoo which strip the natural oils from your hair forcing over production of oils. Your scalp will need to “re-learn” how much oil to make, so you may go through a slightly greasy period of 1-3 weeks. However, after your scalp adjusts, shampoo bars will restore the natural balance and work very well.
Remember you do not need to wash your hair every day – every 4 to 5 days is sufficient.
How to use
Shampoo – wet the bar and your hair, simply rub the bar on your scalp until a thick lava develops, place the shampoo bar down and using your fingers massage into your hair. Rinse well.
Conditioner – using the bar directly on your hair, start from the roots and move the bar down the length of your hair to the tips. You don’t need much, do this 3 or 4 times then place the bar down and again massage into your hair then rinse.
Shampoo and Conditioner Bars should be allowed to dry out after use – keep them on a soap tray.
FLEA-DOM soap for your dog or pet
FLEA-DOM dog wash soap bar will lather up nicely in a bath or shower and any fleas or ticks your beautiful dog has will fall off and wash down the drain. This soap is all natural and will not burn or mark the skin and will wash the fur or wool without stripping the natural oils. Flea-Dom has Tea-tree and Neem oil which get rid of the fleas and ticks as well as Olive and Coconut oil to care for the skin. Each bar weighs approx. 80gsm each.

Protects the skin but maintains the natural moisture levels by letting the skin breath. Has excellent cleaning properties and makes a hard, long lasting soap.
Coconut Oil
Adds a rich luscious lather and helps firm up the soap.
